The message board on the official zap mama website www.zap-mama.com is down and I wanted to kow what is up with that....on top of that it seems that its been neglected or something liek that because we the fans have not recieved any updates on the latest zap mama info and I thought that perhaps marie would try to communicate with her fans...reasonably its been a couple of months since she last said she was in new york doing stuff and since then the only thing that has come out was the blue in the face soundtrack featuring spearhead and the danger of love with dj krush.....I also want to know if Kesia yanga the rare song that only came out on limited seven cd's will be released on a cd in the future...I have a copy of the song and its great but I would like to know a lil more behind the story of it....also when are you going to make something utilizing cd rom and there are no concert videos out with zap mama unless you go out to www.rollingstone.com and check out the live concert a t martyrs in chicago....I know a lil too much about your music and I take the pride in being one of your deepest fans however I am getting a lil disappointed because I feel like none of the fans questions on the bulletin board are ever answered and it seems as if though the buellitin board is not a way for us to communicate wtih you but more so that all of us can blow you up and talk about how much we like you to promote your cd's so please prove to us that you are not a selfish artist and maintain your dignity and continue to blaess us with your music and ideas....

A few months ago, I picked up the album A Ma Zone on a whim. I think the cover caught my eye, but I was floored by the music inside. The first time I listened to it I was thinking to myself that this was what the future would sound like, that this sound and artistry was what so many people are trying so hard for, and she does it beautifully. I saw Zapmama for the first time live, this past Sat.Sept.23rd 2000 at the Trocadero theatre here in Phila. It goes without saying the show was absolutely awesome and my husband and I were worn out after dancing all evening. Still the thing that stands out most to me of that evening is how down to earth and grounded they were. We went around to the backstage door hoping for a photo which they granted,which was very generous after having performed all evening and it was much appreciated. They not only gave us pictures but stood out in the rain and chatted with us. I showed Marie an picture of my son and we joked how her daughter is 6 and our son is 9. Hmm who knows? A friend (we were introducing to Zapmama for the firsttime Yes,he bought the album at the show.) who is a bass player himself "talked" with the bass player of the group even though she speaks very little english. I was amazed because they were speaking the universal language of music which transcends verbal barriers. Definitely a night to remember!

Hello everyone in a ma zone :) I just wanted to comment on Zap Mama's Performance at Irving Plaza in NYC. It was one of the best live shows that I have seen in a while. I was listening to the audiences comments on the show and one guy said that he never saw anything like that before in his entire life. I also wanted to congratulate the 2 members of Zap Mama who are expecting may God continue to bless you. Marie Daulne you are an absolute genious and I shall and will reiturate what your label says "The voice is the instrument." One quick question at the show you said where everybody is from but not your self, are you from the Congo as well? Peace and Love...........

I just wanted to tell you how much I love your music. I saw a video of yours (Brrrlk!)once and i was hooked. I just bought A Ma Zone and loved it. So I have ordered 3 more Cds. I live in Ottawa, Canada and I am wondering if you will ever tour here or other close cities like Toronto or Montreal? Zap Mama's music is like an oasis in a desert of dry music.
